Our Story

Sliding Drawers is a collection of lingerie curated by Ellen Donbeck, a lingerie expert in the industry with 18+ years of experience as a fitter, buyer, and stylist. In the summer of 2019, Ellen brought her favorite pieces to Meghan Rose Boutique Spa for clients to shop during their appointments and later opened the boutique to private appointments to experience mindful shopping with a focus on sustainability, quality and hand crafted luxury. When visiting, you can expect to see plenty of wire-free bralettes, panties, bodysuits, loungewear, and ready-wear all designed by lingerie artists and professionals committed to creating thoughtful garments with sustainable, eco-conscious production practices. These organically sourced, ethically made, and beautiful hand-sewn pieces will inspire a new standard for your top drawer!

The boutique is located at 682 Winslow Way E in the historic Pine Building. Originally a shipyard working house constructed in 1914 on the Seattle waterfront, this tiny home now resides down the street from the Bainbridge Ferry Terminal. Surrounded by modern architecture, this early 20th Century structure is a beautiful reminder of how gratifying it is to know the history of a place, how unique and lovely it is to have buildings that give our neighborhoods character and the hope that brick and mortar spaces will continue to thrive by small business owners.

The shop is available to book private appointments Monday-Sunday. Booking an appointment reserves the shop for you and one other person if you choose—up to two patrons at a time. This additional guest can be a partner, family member, or friend. There is NO required or minimum purchase when you have an appointment. We only ask you to commit to your time slot. Booking an appointment is great way to get one on one attention from an experienced lingerie fitter and help you find the perfect pieces for a specific outfit or to update your top drawer.
